May 23rd – May 29th – Memorial Day Celebration
Come out to River Bend and kick off the summer camping season. We will have a flea market/craft show in the Pavilion on Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Our first dance of the summer will take place on Saturday night featuring Electro DJ’s. Be sure and bring your appetite to the Pancake Breakfast in the Pavilion on Sunday morning from 8-11am. On Sunday night, stop by the Pavilion and listen to the rock and roll band, One Eyed Jacks from 7-11pm!
May 30th – June 5th – Old Time Country Fair Week
This week will be dedicated to the Wild West and the era of the last fifty years! We will have games for all ages to participate in featuring watermelon and pie eating contests, seed spitting contests and more. Enjoy all of Saturday’s events and stop by the Pavilion on Saturday night for the oldies hits and country tunes from the Ultimate Sound DJ.
June 6th – June 12th – A School’s Out Haunting at River Bend
School’s out and River Bend will be home to a Halloween festival! We will have a kids costume party at 1pm on Saturday with trick-or-treating to follow through the Resort. We will have a Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament and Bean Bag Toss Tournament for the teens and adults on Saturday afternoon. Be sure and decorate your lot for a chance to win prizes. JJ’s Roadhouse DJ’s will be on hand Saturday night.
June 13th – June 19th – Family Sports Bash
Family games will be featured this week with many Father’s Day Weekend events planned. Mini-golf, tug-of-war, obstacle courses and more! On Saturday night we will have Viking Entertainment DJ on hand in the Pavilion. Sunday morning we will have a father/son horseshoe tournament, along with more games for the entire family to enjoy.
June 20th – June 26th – Party at the Pond and Pool
It’s time for our newly dredged swimming pond to take center stage for a party. Beach games will be featured this weekend with relay races and sand castle contests. JJ’s Roadhouse DJ’s will be on the pool deck on Saturday from 1-5pm, and then they will head over to the Pavilion from 7-11pm.
June 27th – July 3rd – Summer Illusions
Things are not always as they seem at River Bend. Stop by the Activity Center and guess what is in the mystery bags for a chance to win prizes! A park wide scavenger hunt will take place on Saturday afternoon as well. Top Midwest Magician and Illusionist, Glen Gerard, will put on a spectacular performance in the Pavilion on Saturday night.
July 4th – July 10th – Happy Birthday America Week
River Bend will hold our annual Independence Day celebration with many special events! The in-park parade will take place on Friday afternoon with the best decorated bike and golf cart contests. We will have Electro DJ’s in the Pavilion on Friday night for a 4th of July Birthday Bash! The Fundraising Group will hold a Pancake Breakfast in the Pavilion from 8-11am on Saturday morning. Be sure and stop by the UDI vs. Condo Owner Softball Game on Saturday at 4pm. Enjoy the game, grab some dinner, and then head over to the Pavilion for the Buzz Toyz Band on Saturday night.
July 11th – July 17th – Sweets and Sweetheart’s Week
Bring your sweetheart camping this week at River Bend to make great memories. Couples games will be featured this weekend including a “Mix and Match” clothing game. Cook up anything chocolate and enter our baking contest on Saturday afternoon. We will hold our annual Ice Cream Social on Saturday in the Inn Courtyard by the Gazebo. JJ’s Roadhouse DJ’s will be here on Saturday night in the Pavilion.
July 18th – July 24th – Christmas in July
Santa will make his midsummer trip to River Bend. We will have a Christmas Party with a gift exchange on Saturday afternoon, followed by hayrides with Santa. Decorate your lot for a chance to win a prize (judging will be done on Saturday night). Electro DJ’s will host a jamming Christmas dance on Saturday night in the Pavilion.
July 25th – July 31st – Hawaiian Fiesta
Games and crafts from Hawaii will be featured this weekend. Be sure and enter the limbo contest on the pool deck Saturday afternoon and try coconut bowling outside the Activity Center. We will have a spectacular Hawaiian show on the pool deck featuring dancers and a fire act! The show will take place on Saturday at 8:30pm.
August 1st – August 7th – Wellness Week
It is time to embrace our good health and wealth this week. Activity will be abundant around the entire resort. We will have a 5K fun walk/run on Saturday morning. There will be a Frisbee golf tournament, canoe races, and a first time appearance by a 30 foot climbing wall for all ages! Work up a sweat at these events, take a dip in the pond or pool, and then head to the Pavilion Saturday night for JJ’s Roadhouse DJ’s.
August 8th – August 14th – A River Bend Safari
A week dedicated to animals and the environment. The Activity Center will hold a Noah’s Ark “Stuff-N-Fluff” Animal Workshop Saturday at 10am. This is your chance to make your own stuffed animal. We will have a petting zoo outside the Activity Center Saturday afternoon as well. There will be a catch and release fishing tournament that will run both Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy the day and stop by the dance on Saturday night.
August 15th – August 21st – Wet N Wild Festival
As we celebrate in the heat of summer, be sure and check out our wide range of pool games this weekend. Bring your super soakers out and stop by the water balloon toss. The annual Pig & Corn Roast, put on by the Fundraising Group, takes place on Saturday from noon to 4pm. Be sure and dunk someone in the dunk tank outside the Pavilion during this time. Electro DJ’s will be in the Pavilion on Saturday night from 7-11pm.
August 22nd – August 28th – Casino Craziness
Games and tournaments of all kind will be played this week. Participants of all ages can compete in everything from frisbee golf to shuffleboard for a chance to win prizes! Come down to the Pavilion on Saturday night from 7-10pm for Casino Night featuring blackjack, craps, and Texas Hold’em. Prizes will be raffled off at the end of the big night as well!
August 29th – September 2nd – Labor Day Celebration
Come out to River Bend for the last big weekend of the summer camping season. We will have our 2nd Annual Auction on Saturday from 9am – 1pm. Swing away at the UDI vs. Condo Owner Softball Game Saturday afternoon, and enjoy Electro DJ’s on Saturday night. Be sure and stop by the superb Pancake Breakfast on Sunday from 8-11am in the Pavilion. Enjoy Sunday’s activities and stop by the Pavilion at 7pm for a rock n roll dancing good time!
September 5th – September 7th – Volunteer Appreciation
River Bend’s 6th Annual Volunteer Appreciation event will take place this Saturday in the Pavilion. Anyone who has volunteered or contributed donations to making River Bend Resort one of the finest family camping resorts around is invited to attend. Food and beverages will be provided.
Keep in mind that these are the main themes for the weekends for the summer and the schedule is subject to change. We will have many other events throughout the summer including; Friday night movies, pool and dart tournaments, card nights, arts and crafts, bingo, softball games, and more!
